Hello again everyone! Kicking off the holiday season with special
notices for Halloween and the Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa season.

Howdy strangers,

So this Monday, October 25th will be my first of two appearances on
the Improv show World Cup Comedy on the Pax Network at 9pm. This
is a wildly formatted show in the vein of “who’s line is it anyway”...
but on crack. Two teams of three improvisers compete and the
audience scores them on the best of three scenes. It’s two minute
scenes of inspired fun... or desperate actors groping and clawing
furiously for face time. Either way it’s compelling television.

Most of you might think you don’t actually get Pax. Check your
cable lineup because generally it’s on the basic services of most. It’s
also a broadcast network, so even if you don’t have cable you might

I won’t spoil it for you and let you know if I won or not, but as a
hint: don’t reset your TIVO from the Jets-Miami game the following
Monday. Still, it’s a lot of fun and you’ll end up seeing a lot of

do...see the encore Tuesday, Oct 26th at 8pm!! And really don’t

HALLOWEEN BBOARD RALLY
<*><*><*><*><*><*>

And now a message from our own Pipsqueak:

OK my lovelies -- it's RALLY time!

What I'd like you all to do is spread the word on all the Iman
mailing lists and bboards (like the Imaniacs board, Perseus Project
and the SciFi board).

To commemorate the third anniversary of Iman's cancellation, we're
gonna have ourselves an old-fashioned online fan rally. We'll kick
it off at 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 29 on the SciFi Invisible Man bboard,
boogie on through Mischief Night (hmmm, how's about throwing cyber
toilet paper all over Skiffy's front yard?), and then wrap it up
with an all-out Monster Mash on Halloween! There'll be plenty of
virtual chocolate, more than a few cyber tricks, and I can almost guarantee
an invisible conga line. So join us and show TPTB that Iman fans
still want their Iman back!

Pipsqueak’s sig line gave me the idea of having a “Costume Thread”
at the rally. She thought it was a great idea, so start thinking
about what you are coming as so you can post on that thread. I think I
will go as Counteragent, because I am so into Darien. This
originally started in the OVI egroup, and I know that several peeps
there have already come up with costume ideas. You may have the
same idea for a costume, but whoever posts first, gets to “wear” that
costume at the rally. So start thinking now. This will be lots of
fun so don’t miss it! (I-Mom)

FAN CLUB FINANCES
<*><*><*><*><*><*>

First off, I would like to thank the members who answered my plea
to donate to the club to help us get out of debt. Between the people
who bought merchandise, and the people who just donated outright,
we were able to get enough money to pay off our outstanding balance to
our merchandising vendor, and to pay back Shelbel for the money she
spent to cover some of those costs.

I had intended to send out updates about the fan donations, but
partway through this process our Treasurer’s hard drive crashed and
she lost all of her records. So I don’t now which members donated
or how much, I only know we had enough in our account to take care of
this last vendor bill. So thank you everyone for your support!

For those who are new to the club, and don’t know how our finances
got so out of hand, the email I sent out earlier this year can be
found at http://imaniacs.org/appeal.htm We still need money to
pay back the Board of Directors members who have been bailing out the
fan club for the last few years. Therefore, we are having a fan club
auction, which you will be reading about shortly. It has been a
long time coming, but due to Real Life issues, and trying to get in
touch with the cast, it has been postponed for most of the year.

I want to just add that it is free to join our club, and no one is
under any obligation to give us money. This club will always be
free as long as I am the President. We are simply asking our fellow
fans to help us out of a bind that our inexperience got us into. We
appreciate all of your support!

FAN CLUB AUCTION
<*><*><*><*><*><*>

We are having a fan club auction the beginning of November, just in
time for your holiday shopping. What better gift for Christmas,
Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa for the I-Maniacs on your list than something
from our auction. (I apologize if I am missing any other holidays
at this time of year. I’m not familiar with any others).

We have autographed items from the cast, several items donated by
DungeonDan and several items donated by other fans. The Preview

You will have a week or so to check out the Preview Page to plan
which items you wish to buy. Please check back because we will be
adding more items. Hobbes_aholic just sent me several Paul Ben
Victor items and I am having a little trouble getting them scanned
properly so I can send them to MrsSpooky for posting on that page.
I may be getting a few other items from fans as well. Silver?

We will be listing the items, in lots, on Ebay. I will send you a
special announcement with the URL so you can bookmark the auction
as soon as I post the first lot. I will stagger the items in case you
plan to bid on more than one. This auction is the only fan club
event that is not for members only. We are over $1,000 in debt, so
I want to reach as many IMAN fans as possible.

Please consider participating in the auction. We really need your

family know what you really want for the holidays!
