MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
<*><*><*><*><*><*>
Hello Everyone!
So sorry it has been so long since our last newsletter.
I was told by several fans that they were just too long and members were
skimming them instead of reading everything. I also heard that some were being
rejected by spam filters because they were so large. So all of last year I
just sent out special announcements to try to
be more timely.
Now all I hear are complaints that the fan club never sends out newsletters like
they used to. *Sigh*
So I am going to try to send out several shorter newsletters so that hopefully
you will get news in a timely manner, but not have something that goes on and
on.
Unfortunately, timely won t work for this newsletter, because I am trying to
catch up on old business. I apologize in advance for my tardiness in recognizing
everyone involved in Comicon and in welcoming our newbies.
You should be getting 3 or 4 of these shorter newsletters this week starting
with this one. Feedback is always welcome on anything in the newsletter. Just
email me at Invisible_Mom@yahoo.com

COMICON 2004
<*><*><*><*><*><*>
I would like to personally acknowledge the drive and determination of Invisible
Ninja. She decided that the best way to help the fandom was to recruit new fans.
So she got information on hosting a fan table at Comicon in San Diego for Last
July. She put out a call for help in the fandom and initially everyone was
quiet. But she persevered with her goal and several people stepped forward to
help her.
The main group was the Invisible Man Marketing and Promotion (IMMP) group. The
IMMPs, led by Suz and AXZ, made up posters, flyers, postcards, magnets,
keychains, business cards, bookmarks, buttons, snake tattoos, and a 6 foot wide
banner. I won't mention the 6'3" tall Darien poster/banner, because when I
finally figure out how to steal it I want to be able to look innocent when I
deny it existed. Now if I can only figure out how to erase it from all the
Comicon fan table pics. Hmmm
Also, InvisibleBallerina purchased balloons and water bottles and had them
customized with IMAN art. Everyone spent a phenomenal amount of money on this
project, with Invisible Ninja footing most of the bill, including the entire
cost of the table. I-Nin and Visball manned the
table for 4 days with some breaks provided by Underdog, The Maltese Hobbes, and
me.
As a result of their outstanding efforts, they collected almost 1400 signatures
on the petition to get IMAN back as a big screen movie, made contact with
Industry people, including Craig Silverstein (head writer of IMAN and very much
in demand these days), who has promised
to let Matt Greenberg (creator of IMAN and also very much in demand) know about
our interest and efforts to get IMAN brought back as a movie.
I would also like to give a public thank-you to DungeonDan, who has always been
so supportive of our efforts. He gave I-Nin several props to decorate the table
at Comicon, and donated several items to the fan club for our auction which I
will discuss in another newsletter.
Because of I-Nin s vision and determination, with no initial support, we were
able to reach out to a lot of people and introduce them to IMAN, and spark
industry interest. If you would like to help keep this going, join the
Operation: Visible Ink group at

Thanks to everyone involved and I apologize if I missed anyone.

VINCENT VENTRESCA UPDATES
<*><*><*><*><*><*>
As many of you know, our own Vincent Ventresca is in a new ABC series called
complete Savages . It is on Friday night at 8:30 PM. Vince plays Jimmy Savage, a
firefighter who is the uncle of the 5 Savage brothers. He told me that his part
is small but getting bigger as they decide where they want his character to go.
He is having a lot of fun on the show and gets to work with Mel Gibson now and
then.
There are Friday night tapings of the show, at 6 PM, with free tickets, so if
you live in the Los Angeles, California area, I urge you to take this
opportunity to see Vince act in person. I read
I-Nin s account of her visit to the taping, and she said that the cast talked to
fans after the taping and signed some autographs. I don t know if they do this
every week, but just to see Vince act live would be worth the trip for me. Too
bad I live on the East Coast.
You can order online. Be sure to follow the directions carefully.

(818) 753-3470 ext. 812. The phone number is open 24 hrs a day. I know that they
are taping on 10/15/04 and 10/29/04.
The show is filmed at Universal Studios, Barham at Lakeside Plaza, Universal
City. Tapings typically run 2 to 3 hours and guests are usually asked to check
in 60 to 90 minutes earlier. There is no guarantee, however, that Vince will be
in every episode and show times or days for specific filming are subject to
change. Meeting the cast before or afterwards is not always an option.

Vince Interview
I setup a meeting for Invisible Ninja and InvisibleBallerina with Vince for a
half hour as a thank-you for all their hard work and sacrifice at Comicon, and
Visball was able to conduct an interview with Vince. The transcript is at
http://www.invisiblemanonline.com/vince_interview.htm.
Look for updates on Paul, Mike, and Eddie in my next few newsletters, coming out
in the next few days, as well as information on the fan club auction, the DVD
and Movie campaign, the fan club chat, and I-Manicon 2005.
Take care!
Joyce
