A WORD FROM THE FOUNDERS
<*><*><*><*><*><*>

Hey gang!
So much has been going on that I don't know where to start. Okay, first of all Helena and I are currently organizing a serious plan of action to get the "official" sanction to our name. As our plan is Top Secret we can't divulge any information, SO DON'T ASK! *g* Seriously, we are going to be taking some major steps forward and as soon as we hear something, you will hear it too!

Second, I need to ask you all a really HUGE favor! As you know, I'm in the process of putting together a petition to send to TPTB over at Stu Segall to try and get Mike in the opening credits. See, I (and others) believe that he deserves it since the character of Eberts is just as important as the rest of the cast. I need you to please PUHLEEZE to http://gemssociety.cjb.net and sign the petition to Get Ebets More Scenes. Just click on the link, put your name and why Mike should be in the opening credits. That's it! The more names I get, the better it is! Thanks!

Third, our T-shirts are coming along very nicely. I'm waiting to hear what the final cost is going to be and then I'll pass the information along to you guys. It shouldn't be long now! Decide whether or not you want one and then let me know. I'll give everyone until the end of October to tell me whether or not you want one. Then, I'll start accepting the checks once the shirts have been ordered. Again, I'll keep you all posted on that!

Finally, the fan club is sponsoring a FanFic Writing Contest! Yes! It's the FIRST ANNUAL IMANIAC FANFIC CONTEST. Lauren and I are putting the finishing touches on it, but there will be voting on the stories and a winner announced! There WILL be a prize for first place (knock your socks off!) and a site where all the stories can be viewed. As I said, we're putting the finishing touches on it, if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me or Lauren (laurenoboe@worldnet.att.net) to ask specifics. Once the details are ironed out, I'll pass the information along!

See? I told you alot was happening! It's all coming together, folks! Enjoy the ride!

Stacey

SPOTLIGHT ON:
"The Invisible Man" at http://www.geocities.com/fawkesgirl13/
<*><*><*><*><*><*>

If you can't get enough of Invisible Man photos and graphics, this is the place to go! Besides the gallery containing many promotional photos and screen captures and the section of Vincent Ventresca pictures, you'll find a page full of gorgeous collages. There are Darien collages, Hobbes collages, combination collages and even an Arnaud collage for those of you who prefer the bad guys. Csilla herself created all of the current collages and she did an incredible job. However if you'd like to try your hand at one, she offers to add it to the site for all to enjoy.

Another nifty page features month-by-month Invisible Man calendars. Each of these includes an Invisible Man collage within a calendar for the current month. Why bother buying a calendar at the store with so-so pictures, when you can print off one of these beauties?!

If you're looking for a unique wallpaper for your computer, any one of the collages or calendars would make an excellent choice! So, stop on by and be sure to sign the guest book before you leave.

Got a great Invisible Man web site? Tell us about it. Send e-mail to imannewsletter@yahoo.com

SOUND OFF!
<*><*><*><*><*><*>

In this section of the newsletter we offer all of you the opportunity to give us your opinion on various Invisible Man subjects.

Before we get into the new topic, let's check out the results of the last "Sound Off". If you remember, we asked you to tell us which is your favorite character: Darien, Hobbes, The Official, The Keeper, or Eberts. The final tally revealed that you have equal affections for both Darien and Hobbes as there was a tie between them as your favorite!

New Topic:
Which of the following Invisible Man villains is your favorite? Is it Arnaud, the cool, chameleonic bad guy without a conscience? Or could it be Luke Lawson, the cold, ladder-climbing Agent? Perhaps it's Charlie Fogerty, the disgruntled victim of agency experimentation? Maybe it's Scarborough, the donut dream and suicide inducing clairvoyant? Or is it Claude, the assassin with a blinding twist?

You can Sound Off by sending your choice (as difficult as it may be, please choose only one) to imannewsletter@yahoo.com by October 30th and be sure to put the words "Sound Off" in the subject of your email.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
<*><*><*><*><*><*>

In this section of the newsletter you get the chance to get your creative juices flowing and write the next part of an ongoing story. Below, you'll find the story so far. Your mission, should you choose to accept it (unlike The Official, we give you the choice :), is to write the next part of the story in 125 words or less. We know it will be a tough choice, but we'll pick one submission and post it in the next newsletter and continue from there. Ready?

The teaser:
Darien was a happy guy. He had just gotten a shot of counteragent and wouldn't need a new one for a while, things were quiet at the agency, and most importantly, he was going to spend a nice relaxing evening at home with a home-made meal and his favorite book "The Story of Philosophy: The Lives and Opinions of the World's Greatest Philosophers". "It doesn't get any better than this", he thought as he headed toward his apartment with a bag of groceries in one arm.
As he unlocked the door, the scene inside made him stop in his tracks. "Aw crap!" he said as the smile disappeared from his face and was replaced by a look of dismay. His apartment had been ransacked and very thoroughly at that. After taking a moment to digest the situation, he walked cautiously into the apartment careful not to step on anything breakable, which had not already been broken, and checked to make sure that whoever made the mess wasn't still there.

Part 2 by R2:
Glass crunched under Darien's feet as he made his way through his destroyed apartment. Nothing had been spared and Darien felt violated. Unknown hands had rifled through his possessions, going over his personal affects. The intruder, or intruders, had been quite thorough. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, his small abode abnormally quiet. With a deep breath, Darien allowed the quicksilver to coat his body, neatly rendering him invisible. If whoever had done this was still here, he saw no need to give them the advantage. There was a small noise from inside the bathroom, Darien's head snapped around at the sound as he began to make his way toward the closed door.

Your turn! Send your version of What Happens Next to imannewsletter@yahoo.com by October 30th and be sure to put the words "What Happens Next" in the subject of your email
