A WORD FROM THE PUBLISHER
<*><*><*><*><*>

Hi Fellow I-Maniacs!

The photo album is ready! If you've ever wondered what some of your fellow I-Maniacs look like, now you can find out. Just head over to http://www.geocities.com/imanfanclub/main.html and follow the link to the "I-Maniacs Photo Album". Then, if you want to be added to the album, simply send your picture to imanfanclub@yahoo.com.

Speaking of web sites, Robert Campbell asked if I'd post the following in the newsletter:

Long ago I was working with bluelightleaper
on an IMan fan-site. The design is done, most
of the backend to keep it maintained is done.
However, I don't have the necessary time to
finish it, and I don't have the capability of
   hosting it.
I'm looking for someone (or several someones)
to take this Project off my back so to speak.
It's a design I'm very proud of, but I keep
putting BLL off because of my current workload =(

If you're interested in taking on this project, you can contact Robert at robert@squarextreme.com.

As our membership grows so does my list of missing or unreachable members :( I'd like to make you all aware of these poor unfortunate souls whose email addresses are not working for me. They are: Invsbl_grl, Canadiannational, Wyld, DeptofFishandGame, Slave2chiana and LuvnVinVin. The last two have been on the list since they joined quite a long time ago and no one has seen them since (could they be invisible?) therefore, I will remove them from the mailing if I can't find them before the next newsletter. So, if you see them or any of the others in the chat room or on the bboard, please do me a favor and send them my way at imannewsletter@yahoo.com so I can get things straightened out and make sure they don't miss out on anything more!

Any and all feedback is welcome. Please send your comments and suggestions to imannewsletter@yahoo.com.

Gina

Agenda

*Greetings and Welcome*

Hello my fellow Imaniacs! Here we are almost halfway through the year and things are looking bright indeed! Iman is in full swing and gaining momentum in distant countries, writers have reached a deal and will not be striking, Comic Con is less than 2 months away and our rather large family is ever increasing. Man, it's good to be alive! Now that summer is almost upon us, I know that many of us will be taking holiday trips and family vacations and what not, let me just take the opportunity to say that no matter where you go, have a great time -- and for goodness sakes be careful! We don't want to lose or have to mend any of you!
Now, let's take a look at who our newest newbies are. Our current membership now stands at an amazing 302!! We've passed the 300 mark by two whole newbies! I'm so happy I could just cry! Let's give them all a warm greeting, our new members are : AlphaReagant, Barkeep, TheDesertFawkes, Tobias32433, Drakkar, TenshikoVector, GalexThief, Buttwasted, KermitSedai, Wildcard01, Madman, Tuckerpete, Small_Fry, Whitechocolate, terminalmadness, Akuma, Dariens1andOnly, Silvered_Cheetah, Hobesygirl, Candace_711. Thank you all for joining, you will have a blast here! We are the craziest bunch of people you will ever love hanging out with! Greetings to all of you, and welcome! *R2 dons her party cap and noise maker*

*Shannon Kenny Light Brigade*

Well, I've gone and done it. I've got another crusade under my cap, sort of my own bee in a bonnet if you will. It's called the Shannon Kenny Light Brigade (SKLB) and the goal of this organization is to try and get TPTB to realize they have a gold mine in the character of The Keeper. We barely know anything about her, and that's a shame. We saw a bit about her in Impetus and I think it would be great to have more episodes like that. Face it, we have no idea what makes this woman tick, we have no idea where her loyalties lie and it's fine time we start finding out. To that end, Kaat has developed a site that will make it a snap to let your voices be heard. Just go to http://www.geocities.com/kaat24 and sign the form there. Just write a simple note saying why you think we should see more of the Keeper and click "send". Then, Kaat & I will compile all the entries and mail it off to TPTB.
There is strength in numbers, friends! The proof is seen in Mike McCafferty, we did it once we can do it again!

Fans of this other great SciFi TV show starring one of our favorite actors once again need our help. They are organizing a mass mail in to SciFi, bigger than last time. According to the organizers of this write in : We are going to hit both the Sci-Fi Channel (Bonnie Hammer) and Warner Bros. (Peter Roth) with posters, flags, letters and postcards with the goal of sending thousands of these to both. We are asking that if you send one poster, send two and so on. There will be no end date; just send any of these four items as often as each fan can and continue it. The main purpose of the flags is to show the powers that be that Prey has an international/global following. The flags can be sent by anyone, but the overseas fans are going to be crucial for this campaign. The URL we've been able to make up for the flags is http://www.geocities.com/skaybaby. All you guys need to do is go to this site and send in a flag. That's it! Super easy and super fast! Also, Prey fans are having a "mini con" in June in California if any of you Iman fans wanna go and have a great time. For more info on that gig, go to this URL : http://preyforus.hypermart.net/cgi-pin/webbbs433/preyforusmb/ Have fun you guys!

*For Members Only*

It has recently come to my attention that some members of the club have been letting slip some of the goings on in the club in the main I-man chat room. I cannot tell you how important it is that you DO NOT do this.
Members of the cast and crew agree to do things like chats, events and interviews because they know that there is less chance of being flooded or flamed by trolls here. We work very hard to ensure a pleasant experience both for the guests and the fans, and to that end we have been very successful. We have a long list of people who are eager and willing to do things for the club, but if the news continues to be discussed outside of the club, then these events will have to be canceled. The whole reason we say "for fan club members only" is so we can keep flooders and trolls out, this is why we create private chat rooms and waiting areas and then only divulge it to club members. If those outside the club start trying to get in, then we will be unable to keep a handle on it.
I'm not trying to be mean or hard nosed about this, but this is one of the perks of joining the fan club. Events such as chats, interviews and merchandise that those outside of the club aren't privy too. This really is a great thing we have going on and I'd like to keep on doing it. So, please, I ask all of you, if in the main chat room do not discuss events going on inside the fan club. I would really appreciate it and I know the guests would too. Thanks guys!

Okay. Go. Read. Enjoy!

SPOTLIGHT ON:
THE INVISIBLE MAN on LizardsSciFiSite
<*><*><*><*><*>

The Invisible Man on LizardsSciFiSite at http://pages.scifi.com/LizardsSciFiSite/index.html is a very cool, spiffy looking site. The opening page is laid out very nicely, is easy to navigate and includes really nifty looking icons as links to other pages in the site.

One of this site's greatest assets is its timeliness. For example, the schedule page tells of the upcoming episodes for the next two months and gives a brief description of the next episode to air, the character page for Eberts includes his just recently learned first name, Albert, and there's already a picture of Alex Monroe in the characters section (with a bio to follow, I'm sure, as soon as we learn a bit more about her).

Besides the character bio pages (some of which include a sound clip such as Darien's rap) and the schedule page, you'll find a photo gallery, links and a quotes page, which lists every quote Darien has spouted in the series to date by episode. There's also a unique "Allianora Memorial Page" which includes a list of episodes she appeared in and, more importantly, her date of death.

So stop on by, check it out, and be sure to sign the guest book before you leave.

Got a great Invisible Man web site or know of one? Tell us about it. Send an e-mail with the site's address to imannewsletter@yahoo.com

SOUND OFF!
<*><*><*><*><*>

In this section of the newsletter we offer all of you the opportunity to give us your opinion on various Invisible Man subjects.

Before we get into the new topic, let's check out the results of the last "Sound Off". If you remember, I asked you to choose your favorite pop culture reference made in "The Invisible Man"; Doogie Howser, The Grateful Dead, Bert and Ernie, Britney Spears, or Abba.

Hmm, apparently no one likes Abba… go figure! The favorite, by quite a margin, was Hobbes' accusation and subsequent "proof" regarding Bert and Ernie's sexual orientation.

As I-Mom put it, "Only on IMAN could you actually see two grown men having a serious conversation about Sesame Street characters."

New Topic:
What is your favorite character catch phrase? Is it Darien's disappointed "Aw Crap"? Or could it be Arnaud's double entendre "little prick"? Perhaps you prefer a good Hobbes sentence ending "my friend"? Or maybe you enjoy and wish you could use a "shut up Eberts" type line on some people you know?

You can Sound Off by sending your choice (as difficult as it may be, please choose only one) to imannewsletter@yahoo.com by May 21st and be sure to put the words "Sound Off" in the subject of your email.
