Hi Fellow I-Maniacs & welcome to all our new members!
First of all, I have to say how pleasantly surprised I am at the sudden flood of new
members and would like to extend a great big welcome to all of you newcomers. If you like
what you see here in "Disappearing Ink" and want to read more, check out the fan
club web site at http://www.geocities.com/imanfanclub/
and follow the link to the newsletter archives.
Also, you'll notice that there are some participatory sections in the newsletter. We'd
love to hear from you, so don't be shy, jump right in with your two cents! :)
As a reminder to all and an invitation to the newbies, Nebula30 is working on a photo album for the web site. If you'd like to have yours included, please send the file to imanfanclub@yahoo.com. If you don't have a scanner and are willing to send a photo in the mail, please contact Neb at her new e-mail address, nebula30@spacecookie.com.
As our membership grows so does my list of missing or unreachable members :( I'd like to make you all aware of these poor unfortunate souls whose email addresses are not working for me. They are: Kento, quicksilvr, Sinister1 (mailbox full), CanadianNational, Wyld, starsugar (mailbox full), Slave2chiana and LuvnVinVin. If you see any of them in the chat room or on the bboard, please do me a favor and send them my way at imannewsletter@yahoo.com so I can get things straightened out and make sure they don't miss out on anything!
Any and all feedback is welcome. Please send your comments and suggestions to imannewsletter@yahoo.com.

*Greetings and Welcome*
Hello my fellow I-Maniacs! Man oh man oh MAN!! I gotta tell ya, these last few eppys of
I-Man has really got me strung out tighter than a violin cord. First I have to deal with
psycho Darien doused in purple and on fire (very cool, I must admit) and then I watch as
the EWSWFH is killed off. Gotta tell ya, some dancing and cheering was involved that
night. Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm very glad we won't be seeing that
character any more.
Season Two begins this Friday with the eppy "Legends" (of Sleepy Hollow? *snerk*
sorry!) Gotta tell ya, I'm very psyched about it, the fact that I-Man is in Season Two and
only getting stronger! Man, life is GOOD!! Before I get off on an I-Man rant and have to
be doused with water, I want to let you all know that the flood gates have opened and new
fans are pouring in like crazy! I want to thank Invisible_Mom for all of her hard work on
this one. She's been keeping me informed, as well as the rest of the Board, about all our
newbies and in turn letting all our new members know exactly what's going on. If it
weren't for I-Mom I'm pretty sure I would've gone off the deep end already. Our numbers
now stand at a whopping 267 members!! Can you *believe* it?! Our newest newbies are :
SilverFawkes, Bookwormgirl, RecycledFunk, FireRaiser, UncleScar, InvisibleFawkes,
CritterKeeper, Illusions (can't do the funky stuff), FawkesKeeper, InvisibleWoman29,
TotalFawkes, Lynca, Swtpchs, Partly, EloyBrightDreamer (finally!!), Zoidberg,
HobbesYopperHoney ('bout time!!), Gipsy, MacArlene, SnowTiger, JimandLeanne, Calliegirl,
Sangwyn, Gabumon ('bout time!!), Darien_Chica, BethovenIII, Hobbeschick, RGTwilight,
Dobbinaire, meckman, tp13, fawkescarter, and Skwdgirl27. *whew* Let's give them all a
great big Imaniac welcome!! *R2 dons her party hat and noise maker and dances on the
table* Welcome you guys, this is the best party you could have ever joined! We are a crazy
bunch of people and you are part of something awesome! Greetings and welcome!!
*Pens*
Thanks to LoganLover, I have re-ordered some more pens. They should be arriving in a
few days, and once they do I have a back order I need to take care of and then the rest
will be on a first come, first serve basis. Please PUHLEASE don't (DO NOT) send me any
requests just yet. Once the pens are in and I take care of business, I will put out a note
letting you all know how many I have left and anyone who wants more can contact me. So,
check your wallets and your purses, talk to your friends and neighbors. These items were a
great seller, better than I ever expected they would sell. I'm very grateful for that and
I'm glad that those of you who have receieved your pens are enjoying them so much. Just a
quick side note, they are refillable. Just go to your local pharmacy or whatever and grab
those refillable ball-point pen thingys and just take out the old and replace it with the
new. BAM! You still got your very neato I-Man Counteragent pen! Forgot to mention that
little tidbit the last time, don't want ya'll thinking that once the pen runs out of ink,
that that's it. No way! Wouldn't do that to ya!
They will still be $3 each, including shipping and handling. To all the newbies that just
joined, these pens look like a hypodermic and are filled with a blue liquid that resembles
counteragent. On the side of the pen is written "Imanaics Counteragent". They
are way cool! If you want one, make a note of it, and when I get the new order, I will
start taking requests. Thanks for your patience on this one guys!
*New and Future Merchanidse*
Well, thanks to ShelBel and LoganLover we are currently in the process of making up
some very cool "All I Need To Know I Learned From I-Man" shirts. People, let me
just tell you that the design Shel and Logan have come up with kicks butt! The have the
"Need To Know" speech located on the shirt along with all those great life
lessons we've learned from the show on the back. I gotta tell ya, I saw the specs and
nearly died. It is so awesome. This shirt is still in the planning stages and we're
working out the bugs and design stuff, don't have a set price or anything just yet, just
wanted you all to know that these guys have some great stuff going on for ya!
Also, it was brought to my attention that hats would be really cool as well. Duntulum came
up with the very clever idea that a hat with the letters P.S.A.S.L printed on the front.
Of course, this stands for "Psycho Secret Agent Softball League" to which we are
all very proud members, am I right? I was talking to KatrynSedai about it the other night
and she came up with the idea of a black hat with the letters in silver. Now, we're
focusing on the shirts right now and so the hats are very far on the back burner. If we
are able to do it, I wanted you guys to be aware of it so you can decide if you want one
or not.
I told you, being a member of this club comes with great perks, very cool merchandise is
just one of them! Big thanks to Shel and Logan for coming up with these great ideas!
*Chat Transcript*
As you all may or may not know, we recently had a chat with staff writer Steve Binder. He's the guy that wrote "Frozen in Time" and "It's a Small World" (... after all .. sorry). It was a great chat, filled with lots of laughs and funny stories. I've edited the transcript and if you were not able to make the chat or forgot, or are a new member and didn't know about it, drop me an email at stacey_meyer@hotmail.com and I'll send you a log of it so you can read and enjoy along with the rest of us. If not, I'm sending a copy to GinaS so she can put it up on the website where you can go and read it there. You will also find transcripts of the other chats we've had there as well. I'm always trying to set up cool and interesting chats with members of both the cast and crew. Keep your eyes and ears open, I got some great people lined up! You won't be disappointed!
*Baby Ben's B-Day*
The son of the Invisible Man will be reaching the one-year mark in April and the
Imaniacs along with Perseus Project are joining forces to make it memborable for the proud
parents. All you need to do is send a small note with your name or handle at the bottome
to mail@perseusproject.com The note can be
simple, charming, funny or witty. You can talk directly to Ben or just congratulate the
proud parents, it's your call. All notes should be in to Perseus by April 13th so they can
organize it and set it up as a cool link on the website. We're also keeping this project
"under the chupa" so that the Ventresca's don't get wind of it. We want it to be
a surprise to them, so spread the word to your friends via email. Please keep it out of
the chat room and the bboard.
We're already on our way to sending the Invisible Man himself his birthday greetings,
let's not forget his absolutely adorable son! So get your thoughts in order and send off
those emails! How cool would it be to know that Vince and Dianne are reading your words
and will be pleased and touched that we all remembered their son's Birthday. What better
gift to receive than the warm wishes of hundreds of fans.
*Board of Directors*
I've been working with these wonderful gals for about two weeks now and I just wanted
to let everyone in the fan club know what a great group they are. They are so dedicated to
making things run smoothly and are always coming up with new and different ideas to
institute to the members. KatrynSedai and Smartypants are literally working their butts
off getting the ComicCon deal to come together. When you guys see what they have planned
it's gonna knock your socks off. To that effect, MalteseHobbes has even added her
two-cents with some extremely cool door prizes and take home gifts. Katryn was telling me
about some of the things Maltese is doing and I was giddy with excitement. You guys are
not going to be disappointed. Then of course Shel and Logan are working their fingers to
the bone with all the very cool merchandise for all of you, GinaS works diligently week
after week updating the website and getting the newsletter together so all of you can stay
informed. Invisible_Mom keeps her feelers to the ground, bringing in and initiating all of
our newbies, keeping them informed so they can keep up with us and Lauren helps to keep me
in the loop by passing on info I might have missed and coordinating events with the rest
of the Board when I'm unable too. These are simply the best group of women I have ever had
the pleasure of working with and I just wanted to give them all a great big shout out, to
let them all know how much I appreciate all the hard work they are doing.
If you are enjoying the fan club and are thrilled with what is going on and all the stuff
we have planned for you, it's these guys that are making it all possible. They have been
invaluable to me, allowing me to cast my energies elsewhere so I can continue to bring you
guys the best that you've come to expect. So please, join with me in giving these ladies a
huge round of applause. They certainly deserve it! *R2 stands up and gives thunderous
applause, stomping her feet and whistling* Ladies, thank you. I couldn't do it without
you.
I've taken up enough of your time and I know that KatrynSedai has some info she wants to pass on to you as well. Go. Read. Enjoy.

<*><*><*><*><*> SPECIAL EVENTS UPDATE <*><*><*><*><*>
Hi, everyone!
Vincent Ventresca's birthday is just around the corner, and I am pleased to announce that 93 I-Maniacs from 32 states sent me birthday greetings for our favorite leading man! I'm in the process of buying cards to put your messages in (I have 5 so far - and I think I'm beginning to scare the people in the card stores). Once I've put everything together, I'm going to try to scan the images, so that pics can be posted on the I-maniacs website (after Vince's b-day, of course - don't want to ruin the surprise *g*). The deadline for getting your messages into me was April 9th, but I will accept greetings through tomorrow, April 11th. Please email me directly at katryn7@nycap.rr.com with your handle, your state of residence and your greeting for Vince. Let's break 100 birthday wishes, folks!
On another note, plans for the I-maniacs at the Comic Con in San Diego this July are coming along well. We have a party planned for the Friday night of the Con, a "location crawl" (visiting sites where Iman has filmed), and a slew of other things we'll be doing for the four days and beyond. We have 34 people who have confirmed with me that they are coming, with another 22 who might possibly make it. If you have NOT yet emailed me to let me know if you are coming, please do so asap at katryn7@nycap.rr.com. I've created a list group with information regarding hotel and Comic Con information and some of what we have planned while in town. If you think you MIGHT be able to make it to San Diego July 18-22, or if you have any questions, please drop me a note, so that I can add you to the list group. I can't wait to meet all of you!
As always, if any of you hear of events or get-togethers that you would like to share with your fellow I-Maniacs, just drop me a line. I'll be sure to pass the info along!

<*><*><*><*><*> SPOTLIGHT ON: MIKE McCAFFERTY'S HOME PAGE <*><*><*><*><*>
What could be more fun than hearing from those involved in your favorite television show? How about seeing them put the time and effort into giving you a glimpse into their background and interests using a web site as their medium! That's exactly what Mike McCafferty has done with http://www.mikemccafferty.com.
Right off the bat you'll be treated to a nifty animated intro, which includes some great and amusing photos of Mike. Then once you get into the site, some of the cool things you'll find include a photo gallery which contains pictures of Mike from other roles, in candid shots, and even in his dream role as the extra crew member who beams down with Kirk and Spock only to die a hideous death moments later :) You'll also see a resume detailing Mike's career and special skills... did you know he can play the xylophone?!
Also, check out the news section which explains that although another section of his site, dedicated to an a cappella quartet he's a member of, was lost due to a computer crash, you can still hear their rendition of "Rock Around the Clock"!
Finally, you can visit the Department of Fish and Game with Eberts as your guide (once you pass the rigorous testing process). In this area, all of the past Eberts Files as posted on the Sci-fi bboard are duplicated but with supplemental information. Similarly, there's a transcript of Mike's moderated chat with Sci-fi, which also includes supplemental information. Plus, he's even got his own chat room.
So, what are you waiting for, drop on by and check it out!
Got a great Invisible Man web site or know of one? Tell us about it. Send an e-mail with the site's address to imannewsletter@yahoo.com
<*><*><*><*><*> SOUND OFF! <*><*><*><*><*>
In this section of the newsletter we offer all of you the opportunity to give us your opinion on various Invisible Man subjects.
Before we get into the new topic, let's check out the results of the last "Sound Off". If you remember, I asked you to choose your favorite I-Man headwear; Darien's black knit burglar cap, Hobbes' hospital bandage, Arnaud's limo driver hat, Darien & Hobbes' Navy uniform baseball caps, or Hobbes' straw hot tub hat.
This was a close race between the hats that almost define our two favorite agents... Darien's burglar cap and Hobbes' straw hat. In the end, Hobbes' Hot Tub Hat won out.
As Debra put it, "It was the embodiment of the Bobby Hobbes attitude~seductive, silly, sexy, and unique!"
New Topic:
What is your favorite game played in an episode of I-Man? Is it the thinking man's (and
Catevari's) game of chess? Or do you prefer something simpler like a game of Hungry,
Hungry Hippos with your invisible friend? Perhaps, like Arnaud, you prefer something a bit
more active like ping pong? Or are you the gambling type who loves to bet on a throw of
the dice in craps?
You can Sound Off by sending your choice (as difficult as it may be, please choose only one) to imannewsletter@yahoo.com by April 9th and be sure to put the words "Sound Off" in the subject of your email.
