News from Invisible Ballerina:

InvisibleNinja is spearheading a fan table at Comic-Con next month! This is a wonderful opportunity for exposure for our show and fandom at one of the largest conventions in the world. Over 75,000 people attended last year!

If anyone is interested in helping out we would very much appreciate it. I-Nin has set up a Yahoo group just for that purpose. It's located at http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/imanfan_comiccon2004/.

We could use ideas and advice, as well as help designing and printing brochures, flyers, and postcards. If your handy at finding things on the web, we could use help with comparison shopping in order to find the best prices. Monetary donations are welcome as this is not a cheap endeavor (the table alone was over $600) and every little bit helps, no matter how small. Donations of swag are also needed. If you will be in the San Diego area next month, help manning the table is also appreciated. Heck, we appreciate anything our fellow fans want to help with!

So come join us at this new Yahoo group and help us put together a smashing table that will do the I-Man fandom proud! Hope to you see there!

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that our very own Paul Ben
Victor will be doing a benefit in New York City this Friday, May 14th
for Muscular Dystrophy.

Yes, I know it is short notice, but Paul wanted to make sure that
anyone who lived in the area, and wanted to come see him, would know
about this.

He is reading 3 one-act plays at the Rattlestick Theater at 224
Waverly Place, New York. Showtime is 8PM.

Actor Tony Lobianca will also be there, along with 2
as-yet-to-be-named actors.

The tickets are normally $40 for the show and a wine and cheese
reception afterwards. You will be able to hang with Paul at the
reception.

Paul wants anyone who is interested in going to contact me
(Invisible_Mom@yahoo.com) so I can let him know if anyone is
interested in attending. He is going to try to get us a discount,
perhaps a 2 for 1 admission.

I will be checking my mail often until Friday afternoon, but if you
are interested, please let me know as soon as possible.

That's why Interstellar Transmissions is proud to present to you Mike McCafferty, Eberts himself, LIVE on the radio on Friday April 18th!

upcomming projects, and more!

Interstellar Transmissions airs Friday nights at 7pm eastern, and you can find out all the information on how to listen in and call in the show at our website

[No reason why we can't continue with this as long as possible. ed]

Do you still love I-Man? Silly question. Of couse you do! Well, very soon you're going to get a chance to show it! I know O:VI has been rather quiet lately, folks, but we're still here and still fighting for our beloved show. There is lots of info we'll be sharing with you folks, but for now time forces me to make this announcement short and brief.

I'm happy to announce that O:VI is growing! That's right! Now we know TPTB are expecting us to get discouraged, slow down, and throw in the towel, but we're doing exactly what they don't expect of us.   We're expanding! That's right! We're gonna show them that the fans of The Invisible Man aren't like all those other fandoms out there with short-lived campaigns. We've got staying power; we're determined, dedicated, and loyal; and, by golly, we want our show back!

To that end, I'm gonna introduce you to just one of our newest team members: Miami_Mom2! This gal, who recently joined the O:VI management team, is thoroughly dedicated to our cause. Already, she has taken it upon herself to organize a very special project. I'll let her tell it to you in her own words.

__________

We re coming up on the one-year anniversary of the date the last episode of The Invisible Man aired. To mark this infamous date we are going to celebrate the joy that I-Man gave to each and everyone of us.

There is going to be a Cyber Pep Rally on the I-Man SciFi bboard (http://www.scifi.com/invisibleman/) January 31 at 12:00 p.m. EST and will end on February 2. The Rally is to let TPTB know that we haven t *disappeared*.

In the immortal words of John Paul Jones, "I have not yet begun to fight!"

miami_mom2

__________

So there you have it, folks, another way we can show our love for I-Man. Why is this so important? Well, if you read the last newsletter, you know that we have a very special opportunity right now. We have an "in" at a major studio. Now this is exactly the kind of break that we have been campaigning so hard for this past year. Opportunities like this don't come along every day and we need to make the most of it. One of the things that TPTB will be looking for is a strong interest in the property that is The Invisible Man. Here's our chance to show it by participating in the Rally. A busy Invisible Man SciFi bboard is one very important way of showing them that this fandom is alive and well. Let's not blow this opportunity!

Invite your friends, family and other fandoms! Let's make some noise this weekend! I'll see ya all there!

We have a winning city location for ImaniCon2003!

With over 100 fans voting, one city received about a third of all the votes, handily beating the competition.

We're going to be in Chicago!

We should have some details hammered out within this month (hotel, room rates, date of con, etc.). Watch the imaniacs website at http://www.imaniacs.org for further updates.

Thanks to everyone who voted!

Merchandise Update as of Friday, October 4:

The window clings came in yesterday. Yay! Well, sort of. The deal is this: they're the wrong design. Nothing terrible, mind you- they're plain black, with "the I-Maniacs" in white, and "Visible Fans of the Invisible Man" in red. But NOT what I ordered!

So, quick call to Paul the Merch guy- and problem solved. We can keep the incorrect order, and he will have the correct design printed up. It'll be 10-15 days for the new clings, but hey- we just got a two-fer-one deal! Whoo hoo!

As soon as I get the remainder of the merch (I'm still waiting for the shirts and hats and scrubs), I'll ship it out as is with the "wrong" window clings. When the correct clings come in, I'll send them seperately.  Sound like a deal?

Email me if you have any questions:
shelbel@imaniacs.org

Thanks guys!  Have a good weekend!

To All Iman Fans:

In one way or another all of you have contacted the Prey For Us Campaign in some capacity, seeking our groups' help with Iman campaigns, seeking information since you are also a fan of Prey and much more.

As all of you know, from my updates, the Preymates received some unsettling news recently regarding Prey and its future, at least on the Sci-Fi channel.  And, of course, we know just how poorly this network treated Iman.  It seems we are all in the same boat together.

Now you may be wondering, just what do I want from you folks.  As always, we appreciate your support and we gladly give it in return.  What I am asking from you now is relatively simple and doesn't involve mailings.  Since most of you are involved, in one capacity or another with the ongoing Iman campaign, I was hoping that you could check with the entire membership of Iman fans, finding out just how many members are indeed crossover fans, loving Prey as much as Iman.

For about 2 plus years now, our campaign has been running a membership census for fans of the show.  All those records are currently in my hands and are kept strictly confidential if that is requested by any member. Would you folks be willing to help me gauge the popularity of Prey within your community?

If so, here is the info I would need from any crossover fan:

Name
Screen Name (if they use one)
Mailing Address
Email Address

They don't have to provide their street address, only if they are comfortable.  I would only use the mailing address in dire circumstances and again all information is kept confidential; just say the word.

And, if our members can help in anyway with the Iman campaign, please don't hesitate to ask, as many of us loved, and deeply miss Iman!

Thanks so much!

Lee Ann aka Rueben!
Co-Chair of the Prey For Us Campaign

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted you all to know that The Invisible Man is going to have a panel at DragonCon, the East Coast version of ComicCon. I want to thank Desi for putting it together and for Aaron for helping us launch it. The panel is going to consist of Desi, myself and Lauren (OboeCrazy) and it will be on Saturday, August 31st at 5:30pm. We will be taking tons of pics, we're going to pass out fliers and we're even going to pass around a petition for people to sign to get I-Man back on the air. Desi, Lauren & I will give a full report once the event is over. DragonCon is the weekend of Labor Day (31st-2nd), and hopefully any Imaniacs that live in the Atlanta area (R2 glances at Spud) will be able to attend the Con and come on by the panel! Discussion will consist of (what else) everything I-Man, from the show itself to what happened to it thanks to SciFi. I would love to see you there!

My fellow Imaniacs

It seems that your hearty efforts to bring attention
to our favorite show have not gone, well, unnoticed!
Our favorite leading man took the time to jot down his
thoughts and send them along to you. These are his
words, straight from his fingers to your eyes.
Congrats Imaniacs, you certainly deserve it.

Dear Imaniacs,

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You should know that
you have been heard.
Also know that you are not alone; there are television
executives that, like you and I, are passionate fans
of the show.

Our show was good, quality wins and as Paul always
said to me, "Vinny, cream rises."

I believe we will and that belief has and always will
be fueled by you, our fans, again thank you.

Vincent

Rumor has it our beloved Bobby Hobbes, Paul Ben-Victor, will be appearing on NBC's Crossing Jordan in the April 29th episode. The show airs at 10PM on NBC.  Check local listings!

14-April-2002

We received a note from  co-chairman of the Prey For Us Campaign.  They've been very helpful to us in our efforts to save Invisible Man, so this would be a great way for us to return the favor.

The Prey for Us folks are asking for our help in their efforts to have that horrible cliffhanger that ended the show resolved.  For more information, please visit http://start.at/prey.

Thanks much!

A note from Loriannharmon:

Just thought that I'd drop by and let you know how our campaign is going. We are up to 2411 emails/postcards to Scifi asking them to give us Tom's Story. We have been in a little slump as of late, a lot of real life issues for many of the Preymates but we keep plugging away at it. Once again, if you want to help out send emails to Scifi at feedback@scifi.com and/or program@scifi.com.

Bill Schmidt, Prey's creator, has a new agent who is going to seriously push Scifi for Tom's Story. We are starting a renewed campaign by sending emails to both the addresses listed above and are sending postcards/flyers to Bonnie Hammer. If anyone wants to send these some can be found by going to http://www.start.at/prey and checking out under campaign. I'm sure we'll also have some new ones get made just for this campaign also. This is just what we needed, something new to get enthused about. I'm not sure if we are still going to keep track of our numbers but for now I'm going to continue to do so, so if you do send anything out please let me know, either here or at my email:  lori_ann_harmon@hotmail.com. Just let me know what kind and how many. I want to thank you all on behalf of all the Preymates. We have come this far due to friends like you. Together nothing can stop us from achieving our goals. Again, thank you.
Lori

17 - February - 2002

It's still rumor at this point, but word has it that Brandy Ledford has been cast as Oracle (formerly Batgirl, in her new identity) in the new Batman series that is now being cast.  We'll post confirmation of this when we get it.  If it has not been decided yet, let's all please send our prayers and good wishes Brandy's way.  She is excited about this project and would really love to tackle the part.

Our own Vincent Ventresca is filming a pilot for an as yet untitled ABC comedy,   He is playing a 32-year old toy designer who is engaged to a 30 year old who owns and runs a photography studio (Sabrina Lloyd).
