For 10 seasons Mystery Science Theater 3000 was a popular show about a guy and two robots forced to watch awful movies. They'd sit and make funny comments (riff) while the movie played.  Fans of the show create MiSTings, a form of fanfic where they insert their own funny comments into movies, shows, fanfic, or any other medium.

Once you start riffing, it's hard to stop.

During the first long IMan hiatus, when there were only about a dozen episodes to watch, all the fans were going a bit nuts.  As wonderful as the show is, you can only watch the same 12 episodes so many times.  So one night I found myself riffing IMan.  I got together with Stacey (R2) and for a laugh we MiSTed the Pilot and posted it on the BBoard. It was intended to
be a one-shot kind of thing for fun. When others started demanding to join the fun, we kept going.  And it kinda grew from there.

Just about every week during two of the major hiatus breaks of IMan we'd pick a show, I'd collect all the riffs and edit them together, add an opening and tag, and post it on the BBoard.  It was something fun to do when there were no new episodes on.  We love The Invisible Man, and our riffs were done out of love, respect, and humor.

Two quick notes that you should know before reading:
1) While the text in the <> contain a description or dialog that explains what's going on in the episode so you can understand the riff, the MiSTing is generally funnier if you have seen the episode.

2) These MiSTings contain HUGE HONKIN' SPOILERS for not just the eppy we riffed, but others as well.  Consider yourself warned. :-)
