My fellow Imaniacs

Well, I've been putting off the inevitable for quite some time now and it seems that
Mother Nature has had enough and whacked me upside the head.

Effective immediately, I am taking a "leave of absence" from the fan club in order
to prepare for my upcoming arrival. I was actually trying to stay as active in the
club and the campaign up until the time I delivered, but it seems that Jacob and
Nature have other plans. Fear not, however, I will still be keeping tabs on what's
going on and who is doing what where. I will still be able to correspond via email,
but unless you mark it "Urgent" I will not be able to get to it right away.

To this extent, I have taken measures to make sure your questions can still be
answered & you still have people you can turn to when there's a problem.

Adel and Oboecrazy are going to take over writing the notes section I normally
write for the "Disappearing Ink" newsletter until I return and they are also going
to take up the correspondence with you guys. If you have questions, querys,
comments or things of that nature, please send any and all emails to either Adel
at adelheide10@hotmail.com or to Oboecrazy at oboecrazy@worldnet.att.net.
These two wonderful friends have offered their help, and I've agreed to take
them up on it. If there is something that they are not able to answer, then they will
send the email to me, otherwise you can expect to hear an answer from either of
these two Imaniacs.

You can still send your "Roll Call Updates" to me, that will keep me occupied for
the time being and it's a project that I started and want to finish. So, if you haven't
as yet sent your "roll call" in to me, please do so at jay_staceymeyer@juno.com.
The campaign is still going strong and you can still send your wonderful ideas to
MrsSpooky at mrsspooky@cfl.rr.com and keep those newbies flooding in, send
your friends to I-Mom at invisible_mom@yahoo.com. Your wonderful ideas and
enthusiasm is what is keeping the spirit of Iman alive and kicking.

Now, onto other news. I know that we had promised to have a cast member being
interviewed on the radio every day this week, that's what happens when you try
to plan around real life. However, I have managed to contact Vince and he is going
to be on the air next Tuesday (November 13th) starting at the same time Mike did.
Hope you kept those numbers and time zone changes handy! You're going to be
using them on Tuesday. Now, I'm trying to see if Paul will be able to tag-team with
Vince on Tuesday.

I'll let you know if I hear anything, but plan on being able to chat it up with the
Invisible Man himself on Tuesday, November 13th. Sorry that things didn't work
out the way we had originally planned, but that's the way life goes sometimes and
we just try to make the best of it!

It's going to be a blast on Tuesday and I know that all of you will be flooding the
phone lines at Kiss96 in order to get a chance to talk to him. Knock 'em dead,
Imaniacs! He'll love to hear from you.

Until I get back, keep the fire burning and take care of yourselves. I'll pop in from
time to time just to say hi to everyone, and as soon as Jacob arrives I'll be sure
to let you all know. It shouldn't be long now!

Take care and God Bless

My fellow Imaniacs

Mike McCafferty has graciously agreed to continue publishing his Eberts' Files through the end of the season here on Imaniacs Online and on Perseus Project. We also have a photo that he gave us from the second season wrap party.

Second chance! 10-October-2001

My fellow Imaniacs

By now most (if not all of you) have read about, or heard about, Mike's "Eberts File" announcing the cancellation of The Invisible Man. I am here to tell you that that announcement was premature. I-Man has, in fact, NOT been cancelled. I have gotten word that Angela Mancuso and Barry Diller (among other PTB) have gone back to the negotiation table to do more talks about the show. There is still hope for I-Man, it's not out of the water yet.
Just a brief background because you guys deserve to know everything at this point. Last week, SciFi called for 2 more Seasons of I-Man. Honestly, we don't know what the motivation is (or was) for the sudden "unofficial" announcement that it was cancelled, however that "announcement" was pulled and talks have resumed.

This is where you guys come in, and come in strong. We need to show SciFi that we mean business and we want our show back. Call (212) 413-5000 and ask for the SciFi Programming Line. Once you get it, leave a POSITIVE message about the show; how much you love it, how much you're looking forward to the 3rd Season, how great the characters are ... whatever you want. Just make sure it is NOT HOSTILE!! At this point in the game we DO NOT need angry, hostile or pessimistic messages being sent to TPTB. We need to show them that we are optimistic, that we KNOW I-Man is going to come back. Again, do it today, this afternoon, RIGHT NOW!! Numbers are the key, and this is something very quick and simple that you can do to help. Ask your friends, neighbors and the mailman to call, too. Even if they've never seen the show. Tell them what to say.

We can do this, you guys. We've been given a second chance to help. It's definitely NOT too late. The fact that they have decided to go back to the table and talk some more is a VERY good sign. Do not give up, for we have not yet begun to fight! I, and the members of the Board, have several plans in action to convince TPTB that I-Man needs to hang around. We are fighting just as hard as you all are. I'm right there beside you, I have not given up and neither should you.

Make Sure the Show Goes On! 8-October-2001

We STILL don't know Invisible Man's fate for a third season, and I hate the waiting and not knowing. I think we can make a difference by doing one (or both) or two simple things:

If you haven't already, sign the petition to get a third season of Invisible Man. There was an item about it on scifi.com's scifiwire page a few weeks ago when there were 200 signatures. They are up to 779 and climbing!

Could I ask you guys to sign it if you haven't already? It would mean so much! The URL is: http://www.petitionpetition.com/cgi/petition.cgi?id=2261

Also, SciFi Channel has a Viewer Comment Line that can be reached between the hours of 9am and 6pm ET. Just call (212) 413-5000 and ask for the programming department. You'll be transferred to a voice mail box where you can leave a message. It only takes a minute, two at the most. While it's not as impressive as a letter, it's still someone reaching out and speaking their mind (and paying the toll charge to do it). This also makes it cheaper than sending a letter. :D

Thanks so much! It's up to all of us to speak out and let SciFi Channel know how much we love Invisible Man.

Variety Ad Today, 4-October-2001

My fellow Imaniacs! I have the BEST news for you! All of your hard work and dedication has paid off. Literally! The ad that you all sent in donations for so unselfishly has been published! I know this is very ... VERY ... last minute, but I didn't find out until just today myself! In today's Daily Variety (Thursday, Oct 4th) you will find the ad that you all sponsored, thanking everyone involved with I-Man for two seasons. It even says "Sponsored by the Imaniacs, the Invisible Man fan club"

You should all be very proud of yourselves, without you guys and your loyalty for the show this never would have been possible. We owe it all to you guys (and the wonderful people over at Variety) for making this wonderful image possible. I'm not really sure where we would be able to get the mags, however a quick call to Barnes & Noble or Borders Books or some other major bookstore should answer that question.

I want to thank all of you who donated from the bottom of my very happy heart. You guys did it! Now TPTB will be able to see how much we love the show and how dedicated you all are. Congratulations Imaniacs! Go and bask in the glory of your achievement, you all certainly deserve it!

On a side note, because of your selfless ontributions, the Board of Directors ended up with several hundred dollars remaining after paying for the ad. About $500 to be exact. We are going to take this leftover money and send it in to the Red Cross on behalf of the fan club. We were able to do exactly what we wanted on both accounts. You guys are the best. Thank you so much.

I-Man Petition, 29-August-2001

Want the TPTB to know who you are and what you think? We are trying to get an email from each and every one of the I-Maniacs to send to the TPTB so they know who we are and what we are about! To make this a very positive impact, please let them know what you *love* about Iman. All emails will be printed out and sent to top people with Sci Fi, Stu Segall and I-Man's executives.

Don't know what to write? How about where you live (note if you are outside the U.S.A. please), how old you are (for some that's a "need to know" subject but it shows how diverse our fan club is). Do you watch it with a friend? family? neighbors? Have you found new I-Maniacs to join our club? Do you watch it on Sci fi and/or syndication? Who is your favorite I-Man writer? What was your favorite I-Man episode? Do you love the buddy show aspect? Want more angst? Just say it!! How can we get what we want if we don't tell them? In that same vein, please put a positive spin on whatever you say...One attracts more bees with honey than vinegar. Please do this ASAP! Email your thoughts to:

ImaniacPR@hotmail.com

I'm depending on *each* one of you to stand up and be counted!

Update about the Eppy Download Site, 21-August-2001

Hey gang

the_invisible_man_qs has had to make some change in plans regarding the availability to download Iman eppies from his site. This is what he had to say, "sorry, there has been a change. People on the Bboard are complaining about buttwasted and I doing this, so in the intrest of not getting on scifi's bad side ... we have decided not to post the eppy's I'm very sorry." Sorry about this gang, but sometimes you just have to back out gracefully for the greater good. I'm sure you all understand.

Finally -- there is some BIG NEWS coming very soon to this club! I can't say what it is just yet, but man is it huge. Bigger than big! I can't WAIT to reveal what I have set up for you guys! Keep your eyes peeled, it won't be long now!

New T-Shirts, 5-June-2001

In our never-ending quest to bring you cooler and cooler merchandise, I am very proud to tell you that the "Need To Know" shirts the Imaniac Board has been so busy planning and desiging .... are just about completed. The basic design is down, the colors have been chosen, price has been set and all we need from YOU guys is .... an order!! I want to whole heartedly thank Beth, Shel, Pam, Lauren and Gina for all their help in getting this endeavor together. These women have worked long and hard getting these shirts ready for all of us and they deserve a HUGE round of applause *R2 throws confetti*
Okay ... here is what they look like : heather gray shirt with black lettering and white "shadow" behind it (very cool effect). On the front will be the I-Maniac logo on the left with Bobby's "Need to Know" speech in the center. On the back of the shirt will be a list (of about 10) things we've learned from Iman. These shirts rock the planet, trust me! Also, the price has been set at $10 per shirt, and this includes the shipping and handling. Not a bad deal, eh?
The deadline for getting your orders in is June 22nd, that gives us enough time to get them printed up and shipped out in time for the Con. Don't wait, or you'll be caught on the sidelines without this really awesome shirt!

More I-Maniac Counteragent Pens, 22-May-2001

Great news!! I've been informed by LoganLover (thanks hon!) that more pens are on their way to me. They have been ordered and are being shipped even as I type. First things first, there are several fans who did not receive their original order of pens -- and yes, I know who you are. I have not forgotten you. These fans are going to get their order first before I take any more. These guys have been waiting ever so patiently and I am very grateful! So, once the back order is taken care of, I will accept more pen orders from those who either 1) never got the chance to order any or 2) want to order some more. So to those of you who have waited so patiently for your counteragent pens, fear not. The time of reckoning is at hand!

I-Man Web Site Up for Grabs, 8-May-2001

Long ago I was working with bluelightleaper on an IMan fan-site. The design is done, most of the backend to keep it maintained is done. However, I don't have the necessary time to finish it, and I don't have the capability of hosting it.
I'm looking for someone (or several someones) to take this Project off my back so to speak. It's a design I'm very proud of, but I keep putting BLL off because of my current workload =(

Shannon Kenny Chat Postponed, 2-May-2001

Greetings fellow Imaniacs I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news, it seems that Shannon's shooting schedule was rearranged at the last minute and instead of being off tonight for her chat, she has to work until late. She feels terribly about this as this is the 2nd attempt at a chat with her. However, we all know that this is the nature of the business. We are currently going over her schedule trying to come up with another day, she hopes that you all will come. I don't think she has anything to worry about, do you? As soon as we come up with an alternative date, I will let all of you know immediately. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise, since this chat was so last minute several of you were not able to attend, now that we have to reschedule you might all be able to make it. Just trying to see the good in every bad thing, ya know? Again, I'm terribly sorry, but Shannon's chat schedule for tonight has been post-poned. Stacey/R2

Shannon Kenny Members-only Chat, 29-April-2001

Hey Gang! Don your party caps 'cause the good times are about to roll!! I got all of your replies in regards to a chat with Joel and I'm glad to hear you're all for it. Like I had any doubt. Anyway, he's currently working on a project in Canada, and as soon as he comes back (in a few weeks) we'll be setting up a chat with him. Fear not my crazed horde, in the meantime I have managed to set up ANOTHER chat for all of you. On Wednesday, May 4th at 6pmPT/9pmET/8pmCT Shannon Kenny has agreed to chat with fan club members only! Yes, "Our beloved Keeper" has finally managed to reschedule her chat and she is eagerly anticipating it. I know it is short notice, I only found out myself a little while ago. I hope that you all can be there. As before, as soon as I work out all the details, I will send out the info to you via the newsletter and Gina. It's just important that you all be aware that Shannon will be chatting with us this coming Wednesday, the 4th. I do hope you all can be there. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks gang! Stacey/R2

Shannon Kenny Light Brigade, 26-April-2001

Hey gang!

As of late passions have been flying quite high due to the introduction of the Agency's new .. um .. agent. I understand and sympathize, however I think it's time to re-direct our energies. I've got a mission, and it's a good one! I've read and listened to all of the complaints about this new addition, and the one I've heard the most often is ... why? Why bring a new female into the group when we already *have* a great female! Claire!
There is so much about her character that we don't know : her days at the D.O.D, her last name, does she have a boyfriend, is she behind on her mortgage, boxers or briefs? There is a veritable *wealth* of story ideas wrapped up in this one great character, and let's face it folks -- we love Claire. Yeah, we all gripe and moan about how we can't trust her and does she really have Darien's best interest in mind, but admit it. It's the kind of griping you love to do. The Keeper was with us since the beginning and we've grown to love and accept her, I personally adore her character. I love the fact that we're kept off balance with her, we never know what she's going to do next, and the budding chemistry between Keepy and Hobbes is, well, great! I want to see more of that, but I fear we're in danger of never getting to know "our beloved Keeper" very well now.
It is for this reason that I'm starting the Shannon Kenny Light Brigade, the mission -- get TPTB to realize that the Keeper is a great character and we want -- nay, DEMAND -- to see more of her!
Look at how she was treated in The Camp, our Keeper was shoved into the background to make way for a much more pushy agent. Poor Keeper has been trying for over a year to get a new computer, but this brash new addition has this thing that can apparantly read your mind.
I know that many of you are writing Stu Segall voicing your anger over Alex Monroe, however I want to strongly urge you to put your passion to better use. Shannon portrays a great character that we know nothing about, it's time to change that. She is an important part of the cast and I would much rather spend and eppy getting to know her better than looking for Monroe's son, but that's just MHO.
Won't you join me in this crusade? It worked once before, with Mike. We all banded together, wrote letters and made phone calls and got Mike in the opening credits. We have a voice, gang, and it's a loud one. We will be heard, we are the reason this show is doing as well as it is. They need us to watch, otherwise there is no I-Man. We worked hard for Mike, I say we work equally as hard for Shannon. All you have to do is write a letter to SciFi and mail it to :
The SciFi Channel
1230 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10020

== OR ==

Call their programming line at :
212-413-5000, say that you want to leave a comment on their SciFi channel programming line. Then leave a message saying how you want to see more of Shannon and less of Alex, it's really that simple.

I'm calling on all of you because I know that there are strength in numbers. Shannon deserves better than this, ladies and gentleman, and I for one do not want to see her character be reduced to nothing more than backstage props while this new agent struts her stuff.
Won't you join me in this effort? I know that with all your help we can do this, we are the Imaniacs and we will not be silenced!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at stacey_meyer@hotmail.com and I will answer you ASAP. This is a great cause, gang. We did it once before and proved our tenacity. Let's do it again, a great character needs our help!

"Birthday Greetings for Vince" Project Info, 24-April-2001

Wanted to let everyone know that the fan club birthday cards for Vince Ventresca came out GREAT! We had responses from 126 I-Maniacs from 33 States plus New Zealand! YAY! I ended up completing 21 cards. I've taken digital pictures of them (*KatS crosses her fingers that the pics come out*) and after Vince's birthday this Sunday, April 29th, we'll try to have them posted here on the fan club web site. I'm sure Vince will love that we remembered him on his birthday. Thanks to everyone who participated!

New Merchandise Announced, 10-April-2001

People, let me just tell you that the design Shel and Logan have come up with kicks butt! They have the "Need To Know" speech located on the shirt along with all those great life lessons we've learned from the show on the back. I gotta tell ya, I saw the specs and nearly died. It is so awesome. This shirt is still in the planning stages and we're working out the bugs and design stuff, don't have a set price or anything just yet, just wanted you all to know that these guys have some great stuff going on for ya!

Exclusive Chat with Steve Binder Announced, 19-March-2001

Hey gang!

Great news! I've been working to get a new chat scheduled with a cast/crew member and my efforts have finally paid off. This Saturday, the 24th (the day after MFN *eek*), Steve Binder will be taking time out of his busy schedule to chat with the fans. You may remember Steve as the writer of the eppy "Frozen in Time", he also wrote "It's a Small World" which will be the last episode of Season One.

Steve's chat will be held on Saturday the 24th (giving us time to get over the cliffhanger of MFN pt 1) at 9pmET/6pmPT/8pmCT and will last about an hour to an hour and a half. So pop that popcorn, brew up those Imans and get your questions ready, we got a chat to attend!

I will be working with Pam, my Special Events Coordinator, the set up the chat room and get everything ready. Once all the details are ironed out, either Pam or myself send out another update to let you guys know what room you will need to go to for Steve's chat.

I hope to see you all there. Steve is a wonderful guy, very funny and down to earth. He will have lots of great stories to tell. He is a new member to the Iman writing team, let's show him how much we love what he's doing!

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at stacey_meyer@hotmail.com and I'll get back to you right away. Sorry I've been so absent as of late, I've been working like crazy to get this chat lined up.

I'll see you all on Saturday, it promises to be a great time!!

Comic Con 2001 Information, 18-March-2001

Hi everyone!

To start off, I want to say hello to everyone and say I'm looking forward to working with you all as Special Events Director. I'm very excited to be involved with the Board!

I know everyone has been clammering for info on the con and our plans, so here is the first email to everyone. Please read the following carefully. I will need a response to the questions at the end of this email, so that I will have some idea of the number of ppl attending. I'll need this to be able to book the hotel rooms. We will be trying to book a block of rooms at the same hotel.

We will also be obtaining an Imaniacs Suite at the hotel - a room where we will all be able to meet and hang out - a central meeting place.

We are currently looking at rooms in and around the Gaslamp District of San Diego. This area is close to the convention center (where the con is being held). It is also in the "heart of all the action." :-)

Comic Con will run from Wednesday, July 18 through Sunday, July 22, 2001.My understanding is that Iman events are currently slated for Saturday, but may be held either Friday or Saturday or both. However, with the pending SAG strike, there is no confirmation as of yet that the cast will be at the con in an official capacity.Saturday night is the Con Masquerade and the main party afterwards. Sunday is the Dealer's convention, with no special appearances planned.

We are planning an Imaniacs party for Friday night during the con at a local restaurant. During the week of the con, we are also looking into doing a "Location Crawl" (visiting location sites where Iman has filmed), as well as visits to the Zoo, Sea World, the ocean beaches and other attractions in San Diego.

Please make your travel plans accordingly.

I know many ppl have said they plan on coming into San Diego for the full week. Personally, I believe I'll be in town from Saturday, 7/14, through at least Tuesday, 7/24. I'm sure we'll all find stuff to do!

Please bear in mind that confirming your attendance through me will not register you with the convention itself. To register for entrance to the con, go to www.comic-con.org Registration is $45 if you pay before April 17th. You can get free admission if you volunteer to work. See the site for details.

******************************************************

Here are the questions I will need answers to. Please cut and paste these questions, and send the answers to me at katryn7@nycap.rr.com Please reply even if you will not be attending.

*******************************************************

It's important that I hear from everyone by Tuesday night, March 20th. I know it's short notice, but I want to give the hotel a projected number of rooms needed. Hotels are booking quickly, so I want to have everything set by this week. I will follow up personally with all who reply to me, with more specifics on the hotel & rates. Hotel rates range from $120 on up to $200 per night, the majority of them falling around $140-150 per night for a triple/quad. I am looking into group rates, as well as weekly rates. I want to keep the cost down as much as possible for everyone. There are less expensive options (e.g., hostels, YMCA) - for info, just email me.

I hope many of you can attend the con this year! It's a great opportunity to meet each other and see if we're all as zany as we appear in the chat room and/or on the bboards *Kat raises her eyebrows and glances over at R2 & Adel*

Board of Directors Announced, 13-March-2001

The time has come for me to say that I can no longer run this fan club on my own. It was easy at first with only a few members to keep track of, not that many responsibilities and it was easy to keep the select few occupied and happy with the little we had going on. Now that we are growing and expanding so rapidly, my responsibilites are becoming more and more as I look for new and interesting ways to keep the club fun and interesting. Our numbers continue to grow and it is becoming exceedingly difficult for me to run things on my own.
To that end, I have created a Board of Directors to help me. They are a select group of fans that have been with me since the beginning, that have been offering me advice and giving to me their time and effort in order to help me run things a bit more smoothly. I just took them and made everything "official".
I am still going to be here, I am not going anywhere, I am simply handing off certain jobs that I had been taking care of to others I feel will continue on just as doggedly as I have. If you need to speak to me, my email is always open. I am here to answer any questions or deal with any concerns you might have. My time was becoming harder to handle, this way I now have more time to deal with those things that are just as important. You, the fans. I love and respect you all and want you to know that I, and now your Board, are here to help you and assist you in any way we can. We are all going to work together to ensure that the Imaniacs continue to grow and become stronger.
I would now like to introduce you to the Imaniac Board of Directors:

Special Events Director -- KatrynSedai, she will be in charge of putting together events for the fans to attend or to take part in. I'm not just talking about big events like the upcoming Comic Con either, I also mean little things. Like the Imanicon that was put together last month. Katryn will be in charge of contacting other fan members, finding out what's going on in their part of the country and perhaps working with them to organize their own Imanicons. It would be fun to have Imanicons on the East Coast, West Coast and Central areas. Katryn will also keep her eyes open for other smaller cons in the area that fans could get to, and to that end work to organize a meeting from start to finish. Katryn will also help me with organizing in-club events such as chats, she will assist in the setting up of the chat room, the relaying of information to the rest of the club about the event and then assisting me with the moderation of the chat to ensure a smooth running.

Public Relations Director -- Smartypants, she will be in charge of contacting outside groups and assisting Katryn in obtaining things such as rental cars, hotel rooms, restaurant bookings and what not. Smartypants will also be in charge of trying to set up contacts within SciFi, letting our voice be heard and letting TPTB know that there is a following for Invisible Man. Setting up contacts within SciFi is very important because it allows us to have a voice, if we have petitions we know where to send them, if we have questions we know who to ask, if we want to rally for some cause we know who to bury with mail. Smartypants will basically have her fingers on the pulse of the network.

Public Relations Assistant -- Keeper of PBV, she will be in charge of assisting Smartypants in the task of contacting outside groups. This is an important position since outside contacts will help us in our effort to grow and expand.

Merchandising Director -- ShelBel, she will be in charge of thinking up, researching, ordering and obtaining new merchandise for the club. Things like bumper stickers, shirts, hats, socks, ties .. whatever. Anything we can sell to the fans with the fan club logo on it that makes the rest of the public aware of the show. ShelBel will be in charge of the aspect of merchandising; from placing the order with the company to obtaining orders from the fans. She will work with me to ensure quality merchandise and the timely distribution of items to the fans.

New Recruiter Administrator -- InvisibleMom, she will be responsible for ensuring that all new members into the club are aware of all that's going on and are up to date on all club activities. This may sound like a small role, but it is quite important. I am deluged with requests for membership daily, and sometimes it is very difficult for me to get back to the requests immediately. I-Mom will be in charge of replying to the requests, submitting a formal letter of welcome from me and then adding her own personal letter to it. She will then inform the new addition of Disappearing Ink and of all the activities we have going on and then send on all the names (handles only) and their email addresses to the person in charge of maintaining the fanclub website. This way, everything is up to date and new members can see a quick turnaround with joining and then having their names appear at the site.

Website Administrator -- Gina, she will be in charge overall of maintaining the fanclub website and ensuring that all information is timely and up-to-date. Now, we do have some fans that have designed and maintain the site (Fawkesgirl13 and Nebula) however, Gina will be in charge of contacting them and of making sure they are "on the ball". She will make sure member names and email addresses are accurate, that all "news & information" on the page is up to date, that the page is easy to navigate and looks good. Gina will have total control of adding new graphics to the page and of making it appealing to the eye. We want people to be "wowed" when they come to the fan club site, we want them to realize that this is a club they want to join. Gina will be allowed to use whatever outside means she feels will benefit the site, including asking others to help them with designs or whatever.

Assistant Merchandising Director -- LoganLover, she will be helping the person in charge of Merchandising. This is an important task since ShelBel will be in charge of keeping records of what ideas for future merchandise are submitted from the fans. I want the fans to feel that they are contributing also and to this end I welcome any ideas they might have, this is where the AMD comes in. LoganLover will keep track of submissions, relay them to the ShelBel and then work together to see if this is something that they can do. The AMD will then keep track of prices, designs and companies that will offer their services to us.

Presidential Assistant -- OboeCrazy, she will be in charge of making sure I don't lose my mind! Seriously, Lauren will help me with the coordination of such things as contests, relaying of prizes and forwarding of entries to all the necessary people (special events, website admin). Since I will be working with everyone in maintaining their positions and answering any questions they might have, Lauren will be keeping track of all the events we have going on, all the events that are coming up and any future events we have on the "back burner".

There they are, my fellow Imaniacs, your new Board of Directors! Please give them a warm welcome! They have all agreed to come on board and help me in helping you. I look forward to working with each and every one of them and I know that they will have much to contribute. The road ahead looks bright indeed. I look forward to seeing where it goes!

New I-Maniac Contest Announcement, 05-February-2001

Greetings fellow Imaniacs!

We are halfway thru the back-9 and the Second Season is just around the corner, I'm so excited I could bounce off my walls!
Anyway, in my continuing effort to bring you fun and frivolity ... there is a new contest now in your midst! I take my hat off to Beth (LoganLover) since she is the once who initially came up with this great idea! So .. without furhter ado, I present to you the newest Imaniac Contest:

THE END OF THE EVIL WATER SPITTING WOMAN FROM HELL (or La Llorona, or Helen Black, Or Aleanora, or whatever the heck her name is the next time we see her)

There's been a general consensus that this woman has over-stayed her welcome. This woman not only tried to kill our very adorable thief-turned-hero, but now she's trying to get her mitts on him too. This is completely unacceptable. There has also been the suggestion that the new agent we've been hearing about might very well be a 'reformed' EWSWFH. This has some of us (namely me) running screaming into the night.

With all this in mind, Beth and I are challenging you (yes, YOU) to put on your thinking caps and come up with the most creative way to kill off EWSWFH.

The rules are simple :

* Be creative. The more creative you are with her demise, the happier we will be!
* Keep it in the realm of the feasable. We can't very well have aliens come down and zap her with their ray guns. This is I-Man not X-Files.
* Keep it in story form. It can be told in flashback, or one of the characters POV or whatever. Just try and keep it under 10 pages. This is a short story contest dealing with a character's demise. No need for extenuating plot points. Just focus on the facets leading up to, and including, her death.
* Have fun! This contest is supposed to be a good time! Have fun with it. We've all ranted and raved about how much we can't stand her ... now's your chance to show us how much!
* These stories will be judged by an anonymous judging crew, totally un-biased and totally nameless. Once all the entries are in, judging will take place and prizes will be awarded! There will be a First, Second and Third place prizes awarded.

The deadline for this contest is March 1st. So get those thinking caps on and plot out the most creative way to kill of Aquawoman! If you have any questions, feel free to email me!

Good luck everyone!

Update from Stacey, 26-January-2001

Our next newsletter doesn't come out until next week, but there is some important info you "need to know"! First off, I'm sure you're all aware that the wonderful Mike McCafferty has finally been granted a SciFi Moderated chat! This is wonderful news because it shows that TPTB are realizing he is an important character on this show. I would like to extend my thanks to all the fans (especially the GEMS members) for helping me in my crusade to get Mike the exposure he deserves. Now all we need to do is get him in the opening credits!
I know that most of us have already chatted with Mike in a much more open atmosphere, but I still think it would be fun to show up and pose more questions to him! The chat will be Tuesday, January 30th at 9pmET/6pmPT/8pmCT in the #auditorium. To get there, go to www.scifi.com/invisibleman. Click on "Chat". Enter your handle and other info and click "chat now". Once in the main I-Man chat room, in the message bar at the bottom of your screen type in the following command /join #auditorium You will then be taken to the room Mike's chat will be held in. Any further questions? Email me!

Secondly, Helena and KatrynSedai have asked that those of you who are thinking about going or are definitely going to Comic Con in July to please email either one of them and let them know. My fellow Charlie's Angels are heading down to San Diego on February 8th to start scouting missions for our big bash! They're going to be looking at possible hotels and other fun places for us to hang out in. So far, we have 22 confirmed people going to ComicCon. If you have already contacted me DO NOT CONTACT US AGAIN that only serves to confuse us. I have forwarded those who have already confirmed with me they are going. If you have not done so, and you think you might want to maybe possibly go, please email either Helena at dyffcult@yahoo.com or katrynsedai at katryn7@nycap.rr.com

Thanks guys! I wish we could all go, but I'll settle for as many of you as I can! Hope to see you all there!

The way I'm doing things now is this : as soon as I get your payment, I ship out your order that same day. That way I'm not left wondering who paid and who didn't and who hasn't received their order as yet. See? I learned from the whole T-shirt business.
Now, for those of you who have ordered pens, this is where to send your payment to :

Shannon Kenny chat postponement, 04-December-2000

Unfortunately, I am the bearer of bad news. The chat that was scheduled for Thursday with Ms. Kenny has been postponed. I know, I know, I'm sorry. However, Ms. Kenny had some business come up that she needed to take care of (she IS getting married next month!) and regrets that she had to take this course of action. However, I will work with her to try and set up a new date and time and as soon as I do, you all will be the first to know! Keep in mind, the cast and crew ARE on hiatus, so many of them aren't even in California anymore. Many have gone home to visit friends and family. Mike is still in SD, however, and I'm working with him to try and set up a chat for him. He is leaving for Iowa on Dec. 16th, so I'm trying to set down a time with him before that.
Again, I am sorry for the last minute bad news ... but it will be made up in the future, I promise!!
