Chat With The Cast Of The Invisible Man

On the evening of February 1, 2002, SciFi Channel aired their last original episode of The Invisible Man. Scheduled for that night after the 8pm airing was a chat with the series stars, Vincent Ventresca and Paul BenVictor.

Technical difficulties with the scifi.com server prevented that from happening. The cast, not to be put off, contacted some of the fans that they know who were able to put together an impromptu gathering after the 11pm showing. Here follows the transcript of that conversation with some of the most generous people on the planet.

<MisbeHavin> Most everyone knows the drill by now....

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> We want to say we all just watched the last episode, and we've been talking about the fans all night. How you guys all supported us.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> and how you've been so much a part of our lives these past few years.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Also, Mike made a video that we think we're going to put on line somehow, of the last day of shooting.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Great little video he made, we just finished watching it.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> It's sort of a "day in the life of Mike McCafferty". It's great. We'll try to make it available on Paul's site or Mike's site.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Paul: a couple of movies in the works.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Paul: There's a movie that I wrote called "Hot Scramble" -- should be underway filming in about 4-5 months

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Paul: I want to announce to everyone thru the fan club, to promote the movie. So stay tuned for info!

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Paul: Not sure what Mike is up to. He's kicking back. Some tv stuff in the works. It's all still very fresh.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Paul: Shannon, as everyone knows, is having a baby. So those are her plans. :-)

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Paul: The most exciting thing is to watch the shows. We didn't get to do that often, since we were usually shooting.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Tonight was the first time that we all sat and watched a show together.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> It was great! We got to laugh at each other. The stuff you guys got to appreciate every week, we got to appreciate.

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> Mike: It's hard. The possibility of getting picked up at this point is small. BUT, as long as none of us was contractually bound to something else, we would jump on it in a heartbeat.

<iolar> reetings! My wife and I were saddened at the announcement of the cancellation of the series. We couldn't believe it, because the series is so good! A rumor in the chat earlier was that what UPN may pick up the series. Have you heard about this?

<PaulVinceShannonandMike> I know that once the actors' contracts are up, it's difficult for a new station to pick the series up. They wouldn't know what actors would be available when they picked the show up.
